KATE DUFEK, LMHC
Psychodynamic Psychotherapist
Helping the weary and anxious make meaning and lead lives with more desire and aliveness.
Here you are…
You’re used to pushing through, holding it all, and maybe even making it look easy. And yet, you’ve got a sense that underneath it all, things are not well. You’re anxious about how heavy things feel, why you just can’t shake it off and perhaps most terrifyingly, what happens if you can’t.
What if you could feel more like yourself?
hello!
I am a relational psychodynamic psychotherapist in Washington state (LMHC.) I work with both individuals and couples. I work well with individuals who are stuck but and want to (want to) to feel more alive, those who struggle to connect to desire and appetite for life, and folks who want things to be different in their lives.
The couples who I work well with have a lot of care for one another, but often find themselves “missing each other”, struggling to connect, and wondering how to improve their relationship. I am a PACT Level One trained couples therapist. This approach takes into account styles of relating, somatic cues, and the ways that our minds and bodies are wired as human beings to move towards more secure functioning.
My number one hope is to listen deeply. Not just to your words, but to your experience, dreams, what lies between us, and what remains unspoken. In doing so my hope is that together we will help you find a more “freed up”, connected, and more deeply human way of moving through your days, relationships and internal world.
